Walkabout Tremont to Host & Curate Special Exhibition at the Festival: Collect Tremont

Sep 14, 2017

PRESS RELEASE

Collect Tremont during the Tremont Arts & Cultural Festival, September 16th and 17th, 2017

For the third year, Walkabout Tremont will host and curate a special exhibition, “Collect Tremont,” within the Tremont Arts & Cultural Festival that showcases just Tremont-based artists. We will  be well located on the sidewalk in Lincoln Park toward the corner of W.14th St and Kenilworth
Ave. which will be highly visible to the many visitors expected to attend the Festival.

Tremont is one of Cleveland’s most sought after neighborhoods for artists to live, work and play. So it is fitting that Walkabout has worked with the Tremont Arts & Cultural Festival to bring attention to its home grown talent. The work of ten artists in “Collect Tremont” will be found in six tents joined together in a gallery style so that visitors can view the work in an open welcoming way.

The artists include:
Giancarlo Calicchia, Painter and Sculptor
Tina Cassara, Sculptor
Bruce Checefsky, Photographer and Filmmaker
Rob Hartshorn, Painter and Photographer
Patsy Kline, Mixed Media Artist
Lila Rose Kole, Painter
Jill LeMieux, Graphic Artist
Glenn Murray, painter
Steven Standley, Painter
Garrett Weider, Painter
Music by Jeremy Isaiah

About Walkabout Tremont
Walkabout Tremont honors the artistic vision of Jean Brandt with open galleries on the second Friday of each month, while expanding the event’s focus with music, street entertainment, local history and pop-up tents featuring art and artists from within and outside Tremont. Walkabout
Tremont kicked off on Friday, May 13, 2016. The event has been very successful in bringing attention to Tremont and its diverse arts and cultural scene. Spectators, which include not only Tremont residents but visitors from outside Tremont, enjoy the many and varied artists, street
entertainers, and church tours.
